RESEARCH AND INNOVATION COMMITTEE

Terms of Reference

1. POWERS AND DUTIES
   1. To be responsible for the implementation and monitoring of those aspects of the Strategic Plan which relate to the University's research and research-related activities for the School;
   2. To be responsible for School policy and planning issues relating to research, innovation, commercial and social entrepreneurship with research;
   3. To keep under review the external influences on the development of research, innovation, commercial and social entrepreneurship with research;
   4. To facilitate the preparation for external reviews of the quality of research produced by School members and its impact, and co-ordinate as appropriate;
   5. To be responsible for School policies which promote the responsible conduct of research and meet the relevant regulatory requirements and on the management of risk associated with these issues;
   6. To promote and to facilitate interdivisional research and research-related activities;
   7. To be responsible for the development of the School's strategies on research and innovation development and the evaluation of the School progress against those University / Faculty's core strategies and plans.
       
2. MEMBERSHIP
   1. Appointments to the Committee shall be for a period of two years, renewable at the discretion of the School Director.
